A safe, comfortable environment
Our team is dedicated to providing a special place of safety and comfort designed to promote healing. Our daily programs feature:
- Scheduled activities designed to meet emotional, physical and spiritual needs
- Individual and family therapy offered on an as-needed basis
- Free time to allow patients to pursue their own interests between scheduled activities
Patients are encouraged to wear street clothes during the day and regular pajamas or gowns at night. Pull-over tops and pants with elastic tend to be the most comfortable, and a sweater is recommended. Hospital gowns are also available if needed. Razors and other sharp items, plastic bags and glass items are not allowed in patient rooms. The unit has a washer and dryer, and the staff will be happy to wash clothes for any patient.
Time for family and friends
Visiting with friends and family is an important part of treatment at Senior Care. All visitors are asked to sign in and out and follow visiting hours as much as possible. Visitors are also encouraged to schedule their time so as not to conflict with any recommended group activities, which are often an important part of our therapeutic program.
Visiting hours are:
Monday-Friday
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; 4-6 p.m.; 7-8 p.m.
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
11:30 a.m.-8 p.m.
Patients often enjoy receiving flowers, but please be sure to have them delivered in plastic vases or baskets. All items brought in for patients must be checked at the nurse’s station.
