Hard to Heal Wound?

Fred Myers, MD, FACS, CWSP and Angela Johnson, FNP, CWOCN

A wound that won’t heal needs much more than just another bandage. It needs the expertise of a dedicated wound care team.

The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine – Greene County’s only wound healing center -- specializes in wound treatments that aren’t easily done in other settings. From specialty wound dressings to hyperbaric oxygen therapy, our dedicated staff -- in conjunction with our medical director, Dr. Frederick Myers & Angela Johnson, FNP -- promise the best treatment available to help your wounds heal fast.

In addition to the treatment of diabetic ulcers, venous stasis and arterial ulcers, minor burns, pressure ulcers, surgical wound complications and other chronic non-healing wounds, we offer enterostomal consultation, teaching and therapy.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy utilizes 100 percent oxygen administered at pressures two to three times greater than normal atmospheric pressure. Hyperbaric medicine is used to treat diabetic foot ulcers, crush injuries related to accidents, skin damage from radiation treatments, and chronic bone infections, among other diagnosis.

We use treatments and medications you just cannot get from your local doctor. If you have a wound that has not healed within two weeks, call us at (423) 636-2395.
